Hawaii Five-0 season 7 spoilers: will wedding bells ring for McGarrett and Catherine or Chin Ho and Abby?

Hawaii Five-0 CBS

It seems that weddings are all the rage for the upcoming seasons of well followed television shows in prime networks. NCIS LA hints at weddings bells for Deeks and Kensi, NCIS is expecting the same for McGee and Delilah and now, Hawaii Five O is set to feature a wedding too.

Rumors are rife that the wedding could be between Chin Ho and Abby.

According to Executive Producer Peter Lenkov in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, there is some truth to the speculations but he did not elaborate on who the wedding bells will be for.

"There's going to be a surprise wedding, but I can't tell you who it is. One of the characters gets married," he said.

Rumors of a Chin Ho- Abby nuptial were spawned by the events of last season wherein Chin came face to face with the question of whether he is willing and ready to assume the role of a parent to his niece Sara after her father Gabriel dies.

Meanwhile, also because of the events of last season, it was speculated that because of McGarrett's close call that almost cost him his life, he could be compelled to re-evaluate his priorities in life.

Rumors hint that there would be a reunion between himself and Catherine and that they might give their relationship another shot.

Further fanning the fires is news that McGarrett's mom will be making an appearance in the upcoming season, leading some fans to jump to the conclusion that she will be arriving to attend the wedding.

In a separate interview, Peter Lenkov confirmed that Catherin's return will be one of the major focuses of the season.

"She's still a part of our show. ... The idea is to push that story line until next year," he said to TVGuide.

Hawaii Season 7 will start airing on CBS starting September 23.
