After an action-packed premiere, a surprise wedding is the next item on the list for the seventh season of "Hawaii Five-0."

According to showrunner Peter Lenkov, a wedding will happen this season, and fans are already speculating which couple will tie the knot, Parent Herald reported.

While Catherine's (Michelle Borth) impending return was expected to be a signal for a reunion between her and McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin), Lenkov was quick to shut down the speculations and explained that Catherine's comeback is work-related and not romantically-motivated.

"Her relation to the story is more plot driven than reigniting that relationship," said Lenkov.

While this has effectively dampened some of the excitement of the pair's shippers, this did not quell their hopes that Steve will finally meet his match, especially after his close call last season compelled him to rethink his mortality, something which he seems to have completely forgotten as he got into the fray in the opening act of the season.

Some fans are expecting Claire Forlani — who plays the new character Alicia Brown — to be Steve's new love interest.

As a matter of fact, in the next episode entitled "He Moho Hou" —which translates to "New Player" — the duo are expected to join forces to solve a case.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that Kono (Grace Park) will be reconnecting with a former surfer. Does this mean that she will be leaving Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) to start afresh on his own?

CBS has also released a short promo for the third episode which hints that the team will be dealing with a lone suspect responsible for the ruthless death of a victim thrown from 10,000 foot above ground. The suspect in question is considered very dangerous as he has nothing to lose and is not afraid to take down members of law enforcement.

"Hawaii Five-0" airs every Friday on CBS at 9 p.m. EDT.
