'GTA Online' latest news: Double RP, cash rewards episode ongoing until Aug. 9

 Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games has announced the next round of events for double reputation and cash rewards, dubbed as the "Pacific Standard Job." According to the post on Rockstar Newswire, it is a week-long affair, now ongoing until Aug. 9.

Part of the announcement reads: "The grand finale in our lineup of 'GTA Online' Double GTA$ & RP Heist bonuses kicks off today and lasts through the weekend with the biggest score of them all: the daring assault on the vaults of the Pacific Standard Public Deposit Bank."

The "Pacific Standard Job" is a series of missions for players in "Grand Theft Auto Online." The missions and the round of events involving in-game Pacific Standard Company are where players can get double the rewards in terms of reputation and in-game cash.

In addition, while the heist in the main Pacific Standard branch in downtown Los Santos nets the biggest rewards, the set-up missions leading to the main heist are also available for much bigger rep and cash. Set-up missions involve varied incidents as well, such as helping a fugitive escape the LSPD, stealing specific motorbike models from the Lost M.C., and disrupting a Merryweather convoy, among others.

Aside from the double RP and cash rewards for the "Pacific Standard Job" missions, each mission is also eligible as entries for the Elite Challenges mode, which will even add more awards and rewards to players.

The "Pacific Standard Job" is the last run of double-rewards missions, being the grand finale in the series of heist events that doubles rep and cash awards. To celebrate the event, players also have the chance to purchase in-game items and properties around Los Santos with additional discounts.

Rockstar Games had not stated if the double rewards events will be cycled back into the future, or if the publisher will be going for other events with a different set of in-game prizes.
