A notorious lake monster is being blamed for the death of a tourist in the upcoming episode of the NBC series "Grimm."

In "A Reptile Dysfunction," TV Guide reports that Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) and Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby) will investigate the claim and see for themselves if the creature is indeed responsible for the incident. Nick will also take the time to accept the request of a secret government agency for a private tour on the center of their Portland operations.

Meanwhile, episode 7 of the series, set to air next week, will delve into how the entire gang will process the fact that Juliette Silverton (Bitsie Tulloch), or Eve, as she now calls herself, has returned from the dead. Her arrival will create an awkward situation, as her former boyfriend has already moved on and is in an on-off relationship with Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee).

The promotional photos show the two being much more comfortable with each other. Nick and Adalind are seen sharing an intimate moment, when the former appears to be leaning in for a kiss. Nick is the father of Adalind's child, and while they started off as enemies, they are slowly getting to know each other and spending more time together. So how exactly will Juliette's doppelganger affect their budding romance?

Showrunners James Kouf and David Greenwalt told TV Line that Eve's existence would complicate matters for the pair. Their relationship, from the start, has never been easy, but the new development would reportedly make it more difficult.

"The Nick-Adalind relationship is going to have a life of its own without the Juliette/Eve aspect, because they have a kid. But there's a lot of other complicated things that are going on that will determine how that relationship works out," they shared.

"Grimm" season 5 episode 7 will air on Friday, Jan. 29, at 9 p.m. EST on NBC. Episode 8 will air on Feb. 5.
