Is "Grey's Anatomy" going to be including Caterina Scorsone's real life pregnancy into the storyline of this year's season? It could be the case as it was implied in a previous episode that Amelia and Owen may be expecting a baby soon, reported iTech Post.

While it is still unconfirmed on the show since Amelia did not take any pregnancy tests, there is a strong possibility of it happening.

Previous actors who have not had their pregnancies written into the series was Ellen Pompeo herself, as well as Chyler Leigh (Lexie Grey) and Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins). When Sarah Drew got pregnant in real life, her character Dr. April Kepner was also pregnant with Jackson Avery's baby. When Ellen was pregnant, the writers opted to have her bedridden to hide her baby bump.

Meanwhile, rumors are rife that Dr. Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) could return to the show after her departure in 2008.

According to a report by Inquisitr, Izzie's return is not a farfetched possibility because she was not killed off unlike some regular cast members of the show like T.R. Knight, Patrick Dempsey, Leigh and Eric Dane.

The speculations began when fans of the show observed Alex Karev's (Justin Chambers) character has been going through a lot this season with the entire Deluca and Jo issues.

Heigl's character Izzie was married to Alex before she left the show.

It has previously been hinted that Shonda Rhimes and Heigl have been toying with the possibility of bringing her back to the now Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital because of the strong following of fans of both Alex and Lizzie.

If Izzie does return, whether as a series regular or as a guest, it would surely boost the ratings even further due to the nostalgia that an Alex-Izzie reunion could bring.
