Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) will put some space between them after that ugly fight in the upcoming episode of the long-running ABC series "Grey's Anatomy."
CarterMatt reports that the first episode of the winter break, titled "The Sound of Silence," will dwell on the unfinished storylines in the finale. One of these involves the heated argument between the Grey sisters, which culminated in Amelia being kicked out of the house. The fight started when Meredith refused to tell Amelia about Owen's (Kevin McKidd) secret connection to Nathan (Martin Henderson).
Amelia was furious that her sister was loyal to everyone but her and crossed the mark when she included Derek (Patrick Dempsey) in the fight. After that, Meredith calmly told her to pack her bags and leave her apartment. Next thing viewers saw was Amelia accepting Nathan's offer of a drink after a chance encounter at a bar. The website posits that Amelia is going to head downhill after this, as she tries cope with what happened.
Meanwhile, Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington) maybe set on building their own family after the former's proposal. Jo was jealous of Meredith and was readying for a fight, but when she got home, Alex was waiting with champagne and a ring. Although she refrained from answering if she was going to marry him, Jo's reaction to the surprise was quite obvious.
If "Jalex" is on cloud nine, April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson (Jesse Williams) are facing tough times ahead. After their night together, April has been avoiding her husband. She did not want him to tell her that their time together was a mistake. Jackson was frustrated with April, as he wanted to talk about their divorce. When she got cornered, April told him to just say what she has been dreading to hear. Will Jackson really mention divorce?
"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 will return on Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
