Google Nexus 7 2016 release date, rumors: Huawei-made tablet to launch in October with other Google devices?

Google is rumored to launch several products during a media event that is speculated to happen on Oct. 4. The company is said to try and duplicate the success it had with the previous Nexus 7 tablets, so a 2016 version is said to arrive soon.

When Evan Blass, the famous leaker, posted on Twitter that a "Huawei-built 7-inch tablet, with 4 GB RAM" will arrive by the end of the year, fans suddenly got more interested in the device. Many of the things that Blass said were coming out as true.

Aside from what Blass has mentioned, Digital Trends added that the Nexus 7 2016 could have an AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel screen resolution and will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with an Adreno 530 GPU. It is also speculated to have a 64 GB of internal storage, for the base model.

Other sources suggest that it could also feature a 14 MP-main camera, a USB Type-C port and several top features that will give it an edge over other devices. Google is said to be offering a premium tablet.

Meanwhile, Google is also said to have gotten the services of HTC to create its next Nexus phones, which is rumored to have two models, the Marlin and the Sailfish. It is also said that the company is cutting off the Nexus brand and will shift to the Pixel series name. Thus, according to the reports, the Nexus 7 2016 will be known as the Pixel 7P while the two Nexus phones will then be called as Pixel X with a 5-inch screen and Pixel XL with a 5.5-inch screen. An upgraded Chromecast and the Daydream VR headgear are also rumored to arrive as well, together with the other devices.

The Google Nexus 7 2016 is speculated to be launched next month and to be made available by November.
