Google Nexus 6P release date delayed for November

 Huawei Official

For folks over in India who have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Google Nexus 6P, the long wait could be finally over if the latest Google flagship is indeed set to be released by the first week of November.

The Google Nexus 6P started pre-orders as early as Oct. 13 and should have been out by Oct. 21. To date, the device has not yet been released. As reported by Gadgets, P. Sanjeev, vice president for sales at Huawei & Honor India consumer business group announced that there has been an overwhelming response to the device which seems to indicate that a supply problem has surfaced.

If all goes well, customers who pre-ordered their Google Nexus 6P should start getting their orders starting next week. But to cut it down a bit, be open to setbacks.

One is that units will be delivered in batches, meaning that some may not immediately receive their phones once November comes in. There was no specific date mentioned on when the Nexus 6P would be available to all so perhaps it would be best to prepare for the worst possible scenario like another delay.

Chances are the ones who placed their pre-orders first will be the first ones to get their devices, and hopefully, Huawei has been able to (or at least started) to address the supply shortage.

The Nexus 6P went on pre-order via Flipkart and large format retail stores over in India last Oct. 13. The Google Nexus 6P retails for Rs. 39,999 for the 32 GB version and Rs. 42,999 for the 64 GB variant.

But it seems that it is not only India that has delayed the release of the high-end Google device.

The release of the Google Nexus 6P in Canada has also been moved back to Nov. 2. The device should have been out by Oct. 26 but apparently, supply issues also cropped up.

Did Huawei falter badly in sales forecast thus resulting in the supply problem right now?
