"Girls' season 4 will debut in less than a month, and it promises a lot of interesting twists and turns for all the beloved characters of the show.

In one of the episodes in the fourth season, Ray (Alex Karpovsky) and Marnie's (Allison Williams) relationship will be given emphasis. Although the two somehow had a connection with each other in the past, it did not end up well. This time, it would be interesting to find Ray trying to patch things up with the up and coming musician by telling her about what he believes as Desi's (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) real intentions before the duo meets with a representative of a record label. This new angle in the season will be discussed in the upcoming episode 3 of "Girls" season 4, dubbed as "Female Author."

Meanwhile, the first episode for "Girls" season 4 will show Hannah's adjustments after she moves to Iowa from New York. The episode, which will be aired on the second Sunday of January, has an official synopsis that reads:

"Aspiring writer Hannah gets a shock when her parents visit from East Lansing, Michigan, and announce they will no longer financially support her as they have done since her graduation from Oberlin College two years before. Left to her own devices in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, she navigates her twenties, 'one mistake at a time.'"

Then the next episode will feature some of Hannah's early discoveries in her new place, such as the smaller house rent in Iowa compared to New York. The synopsis for "Girls" season 4 episode 2 reads:

"In her first days as a grad student, Hannah discovers she can get more for her money, rent-wise, in Iowa. Later, during a video chat, she slyly prods Marnie for intel about Adam. At her first seminar, Hannah warns her fellow workshop writers that her piece might trigger some intense emotions – but doesn't get the feedback she had hoped for."

The fourth season of "Girls," created and starred by actress Lena Dunham, will premiere on Jan. 11 on HBO.
