The highly popular third-person shooter video game "Gears of War 4" will apparently be getting a number of fixes and changes as the game's developer, The Coalition, has now outlined their plans for the game moving forward.

As of the moment, the game does suffer from a number of minor balance issues and a few bugs that needs attention. The developers apparently want to address all of these through upcoming updates that will be coming out very soon.

The game's community manager — Adam Fletcher — recently detailed their studio's update and patch plans via a game forum post. Fletcher had talked a lot about further balancing the game, which indicates some changes coming to in-game weapons such as the Hammerburst weapon. The specific changes that are coming were not really detailed, but Fletcher just mentioned that there was "some tuning coming up."

The game's matches and matchmaking systems will also apparently be getting a few tweaks that will further improve the gamers' experience. The issue with matches starting up with incomplete players will also be tackled in future updates. Fletcher acknowledged that the issue was "pretty concerning" and that their team will be looking to fix it immediately.

It was, however, mentioned that it might be a while before they fully fix the issue as there still needs to be a lot of work to be done, but they are looking to "mitigate and correct" the issue "as soon as possible."

It was also revealed that the developers will be implementing a much harsher penalty for players who suddenly quit their joined matches. The penalty changes were mentioned to still "require a bit more legwork," which means that it might not be included in the next update right away.

Aside from solving the game's various issues, the developers are also apparently looking into experimenting with social cross-play weekends.

"Gears of War 4" was released back in Oct.11 for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
