'Game of Thrones' news: Jon will know everything in season 8

"Game of Thrones" (GoT) actor Kit Harington revealed that his character for the epic fantasy drama from HBO will finally know everything come the airing of its final season.

Harington said in an interview that he got a bit emotional on the read-through of the script for the final episode of the show. The actor said that after remembering that "GoT" has eight years under its belt, those eight years was not something very easy to forget.

"It's been an institution longer than any other institution I've been in. School, drama school, anything. I get a bit weepy thinking about it. It's going to be a strange year saying goodbye to everyone and having last scenes with this person and that person." the 30-year-old actor shared with "The One Show." He added that he was not the only one who got so attached to "GoT" but everyone else who has watched the show since season 1.

Whatever Harington's character, Jon Snow, now knows is in complete lockdown from everyone else until the final season airs in 2019. The production told the actor not to tell anyone he was filming and that he could not take any pictures in Belfast.

Although the final read-through was an emotional moment for Harington, the actor also said that he was glad that the epic tale from the fictional land of Westeros is coming to an end. This will be giving the young actor new avenues to pursue.

Being free for an entire year would be a very liberating time as he would no longer be portraying Jon Snow. For the actor, eight years of "Game of Thrones" is enough time for fans to love a series

The British actor will also be very busy with his wedding arrangements with former co-star Rose Leslie, who played as the wildling Ygritte. The two announced their engagement last September.
