One of the much-awaited flagships that smartphone fans have been on the lookout for is Samsung Galaxy's next iteration. It is already expected that the follow-up to the Galaxy S-series will come by next year. However, no concrete details have yet been confirmed, and a lot of rumors and speculations have been floating online.

It is speculated that when Samsung rolls out the Galaxy S7, the new flagship will again set the standards in terms of design and features. According to industry follower and Samsung insider SamMobile, when the Galaxy S7 launches next year, it will come in a body made of magnesium alloy and glass. If the speculation is true about the body and chassis, the Galaxy S7 will sport a much more durable build and a more premium look than its predecessors.

Meanwhile, another rumor about the upcoming flagship is that the Galaxy S7 will be one of the best-sounding smartphones when it launches. In a report by GSM Arena, it was mentioned that the Samsung flagship will feature a Sabre 9018AQ2M audio chip by ESS Technology. For audiophiles, this translates to at least 129 dB signal-to-noise ratio, with support for audio formats like PCM and DSD up to 32-bit and 384 KHz. However, the quality of the sound will not take that much out of the power since the chip only consumes about 1mW on standby and 40mW when used.

For the non-tech savvy fans, having the Sabre audio chip means that Galaxy S7 will deliver high-fidelity sounds, and the audio quality will be the same as that which can be heard from hi-fi dedicated, digital streaming audio services.

However, these details, as well as the release date for the new Samsung flagship remain hearsay. The South Korea-based company has not made any official statements about the rumors.
