One of the much-anticipated releases for smartphone fans is the next iteration for tech giant Samsung. Although still fresh from the release of the Galaxy Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus, some fans of the South Korea-based company is now asking when the next S-series flagship will be unveiled.

There is scarcity in confirmed details about the upcoming Galaxy S7 iteration. On the other hand, rumors and speculations can easily be found online. It has lately been speculated that when Samsung rolls out the S7 next year, it will come in at last three versions.

According to TechnoBuffalo, when the next iteration in the Samsung smartphone lineup is launched, users will have three versions of the S7 device, and owners will have to choose depending on where they are located. For those who are in Europe, Japan, and Korea, the Galaxy S7 will be powered by the next-gen Exynos M1 processor. Meanwhile, those who are in India will be getting the less powerful but still performance-based Exynos 7422 variant. Samsung fans in China and the United States will get the Samsung S7 version with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset.

If the rumors are true, this will be the first time that Samsung will be having different processor and performance variants of the same model depending on the location. Although the previous S6 iteration came in three models – the base one, the S6 Edge, and the newer S6 Edge Plus – all three came with the same Exynos 7420 processor.

Meanwhile, it is also rumored that aside from the three processor variants, the S7 could also come in two models, much like what Samsung did with the Galaxy S6. It is speculated that aside from a base model for the Galaxy S7, the next-gen flagship will also have an Edge variant.
