The sequels for two of Bethesda's most successful open world video games, "Fallout 4" and "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim," have long been anticipated to be coming out soon. Ever since the respective releases of both games, fans have been waiting with bated breath for any news about the studio's plans to start working on either of the new sequels.

Now, new reports have emerged which claimed that Bethesda may be prioritizing the next installment in the "Fallout" franchise, "Fallout 4." While there is relatively an equal demand for "The Elder Scrolls 6," the studio has reportedly taken it upon themselves to work on "Fallout 4" first.

There have also been reports which cited statements from Bethesda's own Todd Howard, who apparently revealed that the next "The Elder Scrolls" video game is not yet an active project, but they will definitely be making the sequel sometime in the future.

The studio has of course not yet revealed any details about the possible release dates for the game, but based on the time intervals between the previous "fallout" installments, it may still be a while before fans can get their hands on the sequel. "Fallout 3" was released back in 2008, followed by "Fallout 4" in 2015. However, reports have claimed that "Fallout 5" may not necessary take the same amount of time to develop, seeing as that Bethesda may already be working on the sequel.

As for the game itself, a report from Movie News Guide claimed that the next game could be set in an entirely new location. The report predicted that the sequel could be set in either New York city or Japan, with player being able to witness the effects of the Great War on these places. The claims however still remain to be mere speculation, and it would really be up to the developers to decide where they would want to take players in the next game.
