'Empire' season 2 spoilers: Camilla savors her revenge on the Lyons

The time for revenge has come for Camilla (Naomie Campbell), as she makes sure Lucious (Terence Howard) and his family suffer when the hit FOX series "Empire" returns for season 2B.

When it was revealed in the midseason finale that she is Mimi Whiteman's (Marisa Tomei) wife, it immediately became clear that the whole fiasco was payback for what happened to her in season 1. Camilla was Hakeem's (Bryshere Y. Gray) older girlfriend, but Lucious sent her away, as both he and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) believed she was a corrupting influence on their son.

The Lyons tried to pay Camilla to leave town and never contact Hakeem, but she refused. She was banished anyway, and as the promo for the upcoming episode titled "Death Will Have His Day" shows, she has been bidding her time until she can exact revenge on the family who belittled her. Although Mimi is by rights, the new overseer of Empire, she is off getting chemotherapy for her cancer. She names Camilla her substitute, and viewers can expect that she will use the position to bury Lucious until he never recovers.

The clip shows Camilla pushing Hakeem to realize his dream of becoming the company's CEO. Hakeem does not need much urging, though, as he arrogantly claims his "birthright" by leaping on top of the meeting table in a room full of concerned board members. His brother Jamal (Jussie Smollett) also warns him to be careful, as his greed may end up bringing out the worst in him.

The rest of the teaser shows unrest, as a car explodes and Camilla is seen giving an order to kill someone. At the latter part, Lucious is telling an unknown individual that he is going to take back his "kingdom" and that character is going to help him.

"Empire" will return on Wednesday, March 30, at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
