'Dragon Ball Xenoverse' release date news: U.S. launch a week late

Dragon Ball Xenoverse coming in 2015 Facebook

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse" will not arrive on the day initially preset but it would not be a very drastic change. Bandai Namco Games U.K. announced through Twitter that the game will touch down in Europe on Feb. 27 instead of Feb. 13. The game studio said that the brief two-week holdup is only to "ensure the highest possible gameplay experience."

In turn, new launch dates for other regions in the world were also stipulated. "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" will get to the United States on Feb. 24. That is a week-long delay. PC players will get the title by Feb. 27 as well. Play Station Lifestyle broached that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" will come with a far-reaching online multiplayer realm, a sizeable amount of game modes, and customizable characters; thus, waiting for the game for another week or so should pay off pretty heftily.

According to Anime News Network, the title will be sent out to Japan by Feb. 5. These initial copies will slot in a download code for Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, which will make Akira Toriyama's manga hero a playable character in the upcoming game. Other Japanese-exclusive windfalls will come in the form of a customizable Master Roshi as well as a special Trunks: Xeno battle card for "Dragon Ball Heroes" and a serial code for Trunks: Xeno in the mobile game "Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle."

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse" is being made for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Gamers can also get it through Steam to play it via PC. Gamers will morph into one of the original characters in the anime to help out Trunks and the Kai of Time to throw a monkey wrench into Towa and Mira's plan, which is geared toward rewriting the "Dragon Ball" history into a much more sinister tale.
