'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date: Goku Black is pre-order bonus; Super Saiyan 3, Majin and Frieza transformations confirmed

 Bandai Namco

With the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" getting another teaser trailer by Bandai Namco, a lot of fans are excited about the transformation forms of the Frieza and Majin Race. After all, fans have been expecting it to happen.

According to the University Herald, the Frieza race now has the capability to turn into their golden form as seen from the "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F." It's still unconfirmed whether or not this form will be the only accessible transformation form for the Frieza race. Regardless, this transformation still looks cool, as seen in the customized character in the featured gameplay video.

As for the Majin race, a lot of fans are awestruck by its transformed form, which looks like a version of Kid Buu. Fans can remember that Kid Buu was the most powerful form of this villain fought by Goku in the final season of "Dragon Ball Z." Furthermore, choosing this evolution allows players to pick the color of their Kid Buu, with color choices of blue, red and purple.

Some players are concerned when the trailer video didn't feature the Earthling and Namekian races, which probably means the developers will stay true to the series by not putting any transformed forms for these. Regardless, this impacts a lot of the more die-hard fans the most, even if the transformation mechanics might seem to be a minute part of the overall gameplay.

This transformation feature also highlights the iconic Saiyan race, with its Super Saiyan 3 as its ultimate form as shown in the video. Back in the first game, the Saiyans only reached until Super Saiyan 2. With this, the Frieza, Majin and Saiyan transformations certainly bring more hype to the game.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be released by Oct. 25 for the Xbox One and PS4 and Oct. 28 on the PC. As a preorder bonus, players can pick Goku Black from Dragon Ball Super.
