The saga of Goku and the rest of the Z warriors continue in the anime adaptation of "Dragon Ball Super." Closing its curtains on the battle between the earth's protector's and Freeza's newly revived army, the TV show adaptation now catches up to the manga series' current arc, the inter-universe martial arts tournament.

Those who are familiar with the manga adaptation know that the tournament is currently ongoing. Meanwhile, based on the trailer of the upcoming episode for the anime adaptation, "Dragon Ball Super" will feature some behind-the-scenes and preliminary work for the upcoming event.

According to Design&Trend, the trailer hints that Piccolo and Gohan will be part of Lord Beerus' team for the inter-universe tournament, as the footage showed a glimpse of the two training. Although the two entered briefly in the opening episodes of the "Golden Freeza" arc, they were only saved by the bell hrough Goku and Vegeta's appearances. Even Freeza stated that Gohan might not be the warrior he once was, and the industry follower even called Goku's son and Piccolo as "forgotten warriors."

Meanwhile, Yibada also predicted that Piccolo and Gohan will be the last two fighters to complete the team, as the upcoming episode is titled "Rehearsing for the Martial Arts Match: Who Are the Two Remaining Members?!" For hardcore fans who are familiar with the arc in both the manga and anime adaptation, Goku and Vegeta are already selected as part of the team, and Lord Beerus also had a recommendation for another fighter joining the five-man crew.

The industry observer added that the upcoming episode will also have Beerus and Champa, plus Whis and Vados, explain the rules of the tournament, and finalize the details for the upcoming event. The inter-universe event started as a wager between the two gods, with the fate of each universe at stake.
