Google's new Chromebook from Dell has finally been unveiled last Aug. 13 as a new premium notebook that should serve as another option for folks who are skimming the market for an ideal device to use.

The Dell Chromebook 13 is being offered at a starting price of $399, something that will apparently increase depending on the specifications preferred by the buyer.

The said notebook reportedly boots in under six seconds and comes packed with base specs that include a 1.5 GHz Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. It comes with a reliable battery as well that should be good for about 12 hours of use.

The Chromebook should be a great device to be used in classrooms. Unfortunately, since these notebooks are essentially web browsers, such cannot be said for the business sector.

With the notebooks unable to run traditional corporate software, the only exception or time when the business sector could find the Chromebook useful is if they have specifically made applications compatible with it.

Other than that, the new device is reportedly an improved version that addresses some common issues from previous Chromebook variants. To be specific, this has something to do with app accessibility issues that old Chromebooks carried.

The new Dell Chromebook 13 does boast of a premium design. Among the striking features include that of a glass trackpad which should account for better control and navigation, a palm rest made of magnesium alloy, and a back panel that totes a carbon fiber weave. Beneath is an aluminum bottom that caps off the premium looking device which should immediately capture a trendy buyer's attention.

The new Chromebook is Google's ticket to hopefully win the attention of folks who have been using rival company devices. That includes the iPad from Apple and perhaps, even the Microsoft Surface Pro.

The new Dell/Google Chromebook 2015 is expected to start selling on Sept. 17, 2015.
