Although "Daredevil" season 3 is not official yet, there are oodles of speculations and expectations about what to expect of the return of the man without fear to Netflix.

It is being rumored that fans have yet to see the last of Elektra (Elodie Yung), who died in the season 2 finale in her ultimate bid to help Daredevil (Charlie Cox).

With the character's extensive connection with Daredevil in the comics, it is rumored that she will return in "Daredevil" season 3. In addition, it was not made clear what The Hand really wanted with her in the second season.

However, Entertainment Weekly notes that her sendoff in the series was one of the "most affecting" moments in the previous season and having her return might cheapen such masterful scenes.

Despite this, some fans hold out hope that she will make an epic comeback in "Daredevil" season 3 and will be around in the same capacity she was in the comics.

In addition, it can be noted that although Elektra died in the comics, she was resurrected as death in the comics is more temporary than it is permanent.

That being said, Elektra might end up popping up in "Daredevil" season 3. The prospect is especially exciting with iconic Daredevil villain Bullseye rumored to be the hero's next headache.

Cox is all for the idea of bringing the marksman to the party. "If we are fortunate enough to continue making the Daredevil series, I can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up at some point," the actor said via Screen Rant.

The lead star believes that Bullseye's connection with Daredevil and even Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) will be interesting to dissect in "Daredevil" season 3.

Up to now, Netflix has not renewed "Daredevil" for a third run. It is believed that it will have to be delayed to make way for the "Defenders" miniseries (which Daredevil will be a part of) being worked up by the streaming giant for a 2017 premiere.
