Dallas Cowboys rumors 2015: Dez Bryant remains questionable for Sunday's game against New York Giants

Dallas Cowboy fans who are hoping to get some good news about Dez Bryant may have to wait a bit more since it seems like the wide receiver has not yet fully recovered from a broken foot that required him to undergo surgery.

Apparently, there were some who found out about Bryant being back in practice again; but as mentioned by team owner Jerry Jones, Bryant is still on a day-to-day basis.

With that said, it is unlikely that Bryant will be around when the Cowboys meet the New York Giants by week 7.

Bad luck through injuries continues to hound the Cowboys and, apparently, the team needs a win to somehow check their skid in the National Football Conference (NFC) East standings. However, Jones doesn't seem willing to go all out for a win by risking some stars around in practice but not 100% fit to go.

In all, a lot would depend on whether or not Bryant can convince Jones that he is up and ready to play. Jones said on 105.3 The Fan's Shan and RJ show, as reported by The Dallas Morning News, that it would take "a couple of really good days of practice," which is a bit vague but then again a possibility. Whatever it is and if Bryant can satisfy that claim, he could be playing this Sunday.

With Bryant seemingly out of the picture for now, the Cowboys will still bank on Matt Cassel for quarterback duties. Cassel is seen as a safer choice over Brandon Weeden, with the former seen to have a better understanding of the team's offense, something that comes from head coach Jason Garrett himself.

But the Cowboys woes are not limited to the quarterback issues. It involves other players in the mix as well, particularly on the offensive side.

Christine Michael could be given a try, although it could boil down to a choice among him, Joseph Randle, and Darren McFadden. With all three not exactly shining for the Cowboys, Michael may be given the opportunity to start and hopefully, he can breathe new life (and hope) into the sagging campaign of the Cowboys.
