Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) may be divorced to her former husband, but his apparent death will rock her to the very core in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "CSI: Cyber."

With an episode titled "The Walking Dead," it looks like Cyber will take on a zombie. As the synopsis reveals, the term pertains to Avery's ex-husband Andrew Michaels (Brent Sexton), whom everyone thought is dead. Apparently, news will quickly spread that he has died, when in fact he is very much alive. Even Avery will be surprised to learn that someone "killed" him digitally, meaning all records of him online show he is deceased. Who is the hacker who takes identity theft to the next level?

Several episodes ago, it has been revealed that Avery was married and had a daughter named Hannah. When the child died, her relationship with Andrew also suffered. It got to the point that they could not stand to stay in the same room and eventually, they agreed to separate. Although she kept the secret well from her friends in Cyber unit, the truth was revealed when the hacker responsible for killing one of her patients in the past resurfaced to murder her.

Avery and Michael made peace that day, as they reminisced about their daughter. Although they are both leading different lives now, they agreed to stay in touch and become friends. That is why, when Avery hears he is dead, she will not be able to believe the news. It turns out she is right to be doubtful, as Michael turns up to be a victim of a notorious black hat. To track down the culprit, Avery and her team will attempt to collaborate with a hacker who has a unique specialty.

The Cyber team will reportedly seek the help of Stella Kaine (guest star Kelly Osbourne). Back in December, TV Line reported that Osbourne was set to appear in the TV series playing the role of a hacker who calls herself the Angel of Digital Death. Stella specializes in faking the death of her target by filing death certificates on the family's behalf. She will then be free to get all the money from the victim's bank and cancel all his credit cards. Before he gets wind of what happened, the target has been robbed.

Will Stella be able to help Avery in finding her former husband's "murderer"? What are the chances that she is the one who hacked Andrew?

"CSI: Cyber" season 2 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
