Cleveland Cavaliers trade rumors: Cavs pick up Chris Andersen; may trade Love for Cousins

2016 NBA champs the Cleveland Cavaliers have a lot of expectations to meet with the upcoming season, first from its fans to retain the winning streak and next to its naysayers who want the championship honors to go to yet another team.

But the Cavs are not resting on its laurels so to speak as it has been reported that the team has signed center Chris Andersen.

Andersen averaged 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in 14.9 minutes and played for Miami and Memphis last season. His career average in his 14-year career in the NBA is 5.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 17.8 minutes, with a field goal percentage of .533.

He is also no stranger to championship action as he was part of the Miami championship team in 2013 where he set an NBA playoff shooting record from the field. He has also appeared in 73 postseason games throughout his career and has proven his mettle and experience during high intensity games.

Meanwhile, another player that the Cavs are reportedly eyeing to include in its roster is Sacramento Kings' talented but outspoken center Demarcus Cousins, reported Yibada.

It was reported that the Cavs reached out to the Kings to inquire about a trade but talks did not push through.

Another report had Kevin Love and Imam Shumpert being traded to the Kings in exchange for Cousins and Ben Lemore but it seemed as though the Kings are not so keen to trade Cousins for Love, whose performance postseason against the Golden State Warriors wasn't up to expectations.

Meanwhile, Cousins has recently posted a cryptic remark on twitter saying "I don't really understand the Kings' draft strategy," hinting at some dissatisfaction over the movements in front office.

Could this be a sign that he is truly being considered for a trade?
