Cleveland Cavaliers trade rumors 2016: Cavs and two Kings players to boost bench?

The Cleveland Cavaliers might be the best in the Eastern Conference, but they are still a team searching for improvements and are reportedly interested in two Sacramento Kings players.

Cleveland is on a roll and entered the 2016 National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Weekend riding a three-game winning streak.

Despite the great performance, the Cavs are having this season, they are still aiming to have a better bench before the trade deadline on Feb. 18.

In a report by ESPN, sources said the Cavaliers are open to trading guard Iman Shumpert and center Timofey Mozgov.

The two were crucial pieces for Cleveland's championship run last season when the team dealt with injuries to forward Kevin Love and point guard Kyrie Irving.

However this season, both Shumpert and Mozgov are struggling with their numbers, making them less efficient, which may have led to the Cavaliers switching the green light on them as the deadline nears.

RealGM.com even reported that if they fail to trade Mozgov, the Cavs are not expected to sign him to a new contract.

Reportedly drawing the interests of the Cavaliers are Atlanta Hawks forward Kyle Korver, with Sacramento Kings guard Ben McLemore and center Kosta Koufos.

Korver is almost impossible to acquire from the Hawks and should already be off the list for Cleveland, while McLemore and Koufus are attainable targets.

McLemore is working with the Kings to find a new team and be traded, according to ESPN's report, either to Cleveland or to other possible destinations.

Meanwhile, there is no other information regarding Koufos, although it is hard to decipher why the Cavaliers would want him since he is having nearly identical numbers with Mozgov.

Currently, the best player of the Cavaliers coming off the bench is point guard Matthew Dellavedova, who is not even scoring in double-digits per game.

The woe Cleveland is experiencing with its reserves is the same with what the Los Angeles Clippers have faced in the past few seasons — not having enough bench production.
