Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) will fly off the handle after hearing a particularly demeaning comment from Capt. Patterson (guest star Brian White) in the upcoming episode of the NBC series "Chicago Fire."

In "When Tortoises Fly," CarterMatt reports that it will once again be a difficult moment for Boden, as he faces overwhelming resistance in the approaching trial. The pressure will reportedly push him to confront Maddox (guest star Mark Hengst), as he believes that the latter is behind Serena's (guest star Ilfenesh Hadera) accusations. The woman's disparaging statement has been designed to muddle the chief's credibility. Boden wants to know if his suspicions are true; but at the end of it all, will the truth really help him with the trial?

Meanwhile, Severide (Taylor Kinney) is determined to help Boden in any way he can. He will decide to approach Jamie (guest star Rachel Nichols), Maddox's lawyer, in an effort to learn more about the case his chief is facing. Will he be able to discover something in favor of the defense? Also, his meddling may end up pissing off Patterson, whom he has had an altercation with in the last episode. The captain does not like the negative publicity that Boden's case is bringing to his jurisdiction and it is obvious he wants him out. He will even question whether Boden is still worthy of holding his position as chief.

As for the rest of the firefighters, life moves on and they have to focus on a new case. A man is discovered unconscious in a garden and while this may seem to be a regular case, evidence suggests that he is somehow linked to a crash that took place not so long ago. Brett (Kara Killmer) and Chili (Dora Madison) will be tapped to work on this one. Elsewhere, Otis (Yuriy Sardarov) will realize he needs some time off from work and decides to go out for a change. Unfortunately for him, his once-in-a-blue-moon attempt to unwind will hit a snag. Will he ever have a day off?

"Chicago Fire" airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
