Chicago Bulls trade rumors 2016: Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic being given up for DeMarcus Cousins

A lot of fans are surprised when rumors of DeMarcus Cousins joining the Chicago Bulls has flared up once again in the upcoming NBA season.

According to the Parent Herald, the rumors started going viral once again after he was able to show off his skills as a part of the United States basketball team against China last Saturday in Rio. However, some people say that it will be difficult for the Bulls to get Cousins since he is considered to be the best center for the Sacramento Kings, and couple that with the team's roster problems, it's still unlikely for him to be traded to the Chicago Bulls.

The reason why Cousins is highly sought-after by the Bulls is because they want to complete their super team. After all, everyone has seen how they added Dwayne Wade and Rajon Rondo to fill up their guard positions. But with the loss of Derrick Rose, Pau Gasol and Jaokim Noah, they will need to build a much stronger team, and Cousins will certainly be the best fit.

Inquisitr even reports that this NBA player will work well alongside Nikola Mirotic, Bobby Portis, Jimmy Butler, and Doug McDermott. Many experts believe that with Cousins in the team, their great need for a shooter will be fulfilled. As such, if they're really determined to get him to their team, they may need to trade two of their players to make the Kings let go of him. With this, it is worth noting that the Kings wants to get Portis and Mirotic, so it might be possible that this will happen should a trade take place between the two teams.

Regardless, Cousins's performance in terms of score ranks as a third for a Wildcat in the Olympics. The U.S. team will be going against Venezuela next on August 15, 6 p.m. local time.
