NBA trade rumors 2016: Can the Chicago Bulls win Griffin over? Who will Jimmy Butler go with?

Two of the major rumors that have been circulating across the sports news world revolve around the Chicago Bulls. According to one of them, Jimmy Butler, one of the star players on their team, is no longer available for a tradeoff. Sometime back, the Bulls seemed to be considering trading off their guard. The tradeoff was rumored to benefit either the Minnesota Timberwolves or the Boston Celtics, as International Business Times reported.

However, it now appears as if the team's president John Paxson and the team's general manager Gar Forman are no longer interested in bidding goodbye to Butler. Things could change any time though, and it is also quite likely that the Chicago team may consider shaking up their structure a little. Trading off their best player might be a possible way to jump right into the reconstruction.

In more recent news, or rather speculations, the Bulls are supposedly interested in the availability of LA Clippers' Blake Griffin. Inquisitr informs us that the Chicago team is keen on every big player who's listed on the market.

As for the Clippers' forward Griffin, Sporting News suggests that the Boston Celtics may be the ones to win him over. That hasn't stopped the Bulls from making their own offer for the Clippers star. Details of the offer include trading off the Bulls' Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic. Gospel Herald explores the logic behind these offers, explaining that since Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo have joined them, the Bulls' need for a veteran player in the team is adequately met. This makes Gibson an easy tradeoff. And Mirotic's not-up-to-par performance last season is probably why he's been looped into the trade too.

Nevertheless, it does not seem like a successful bargain, and the Bulls may have to lose another asset or two in order to win Griffin over to their side.
