The cast and crew of "Captain America: Civil War" celebrated the wrapping up of the principal photography of the highly-anticipated movie that's said to be as big as an "Avengers" film, with a massive storyline and the slew of good and bad characters appearing.
"Last night, the Marvel Filmcrew celebrated the end of the shooting in Germany to the new 'Captain America.' Thank you for this Party!!" Imperrii, a bar and restaurant in Leipzig, Germany where the revelry took place, wrote on a Facebook post.
The whole posse was there, with stars Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and Chadwick Boseman shoulder to shoulder in photos and savoring the milestone. Although she wasn't shown in the pictures taken from the get-together, actress Scarlett Johansson also joined the party, as per Entertainment Weekly.
It was Marvel co-president Louis D'Esposito who confirmed the completion of the production of "Captain America: Civil War."
He tweeted, "Congratulations to the Russo brothers and the entire cast and crew."
Meanwhile, the celebration was in Germany because, apparently, the last scenes they had to film took place in a runway of an airport in the place. Photos taken from the set recently popped up online, although they did not help in explaining what the scene was all about.
The images showed Hawkeye and Captain America, and one photo also featured Robert Downey Jr. wearing his Iron Man suit, minus the mask. The suit is said to be the movie's version of the superhero's Bleeding Edge Armor in the comics.
The said armor is considered as Tony Stark's most cutting-edge iteration of his gear and is composed of nano machines that basically allows him to wear the suit within his body and just call upon it when he needs to use it for battle. This suit also provides a 360-degree view and its power easily puts Thor or Hulk to sleep. This means that Iron Man is all for massive destruction in "Captain America: Civil War."
The highly-anticipated film hits the theaters on May 6, 2016.
