'Call of Duty: WWII' latest news: Nintendo Switch compatible, to feature DLC updates

"Call of Duty: WWII" latest updates and release date: Nintendo Switch compatible, to feature DLC updates "Call of Duty: WWII" website

"Call of Duty: WWII" will be possibly coming to Nintendo Switch, and at this moment, more details about the upcoming game are spreading in social media.

Beenox, a studio owned by Activision, recently released a tweet giving a hint that they are working on something that is related to "Call of Duty." As pointed out by Blasting News, the main focus of Beenox is to make games compatible on low-end platforms, which include Wii and Wii U. This means that "Call of Duty: WWII" might be possibly played on the Nintendo Switch.

On top of that, Activision's official "Call of Duty" website has also been updated, and one of the changes include now allowing Nintendo Switch users to link their account to the "Call of Duty" website.

However, "Call of Duty: WWII" downloadable content (DLC) is not yet confirmed. The company plans to employ a wait-and-see approach in this aspect, which means that Nintendo Switch owners can get the DLC only if the game sells. If not, then they should not expect anything.

BadFive, a gaming website, cites an anonymous source who claimed that the "Call of Duty: WWII" Switch version will be a part of Nintendo's upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 video presentation this coming June 13 to 15. According to the website, the Switch version of the upcoming game is in the final stages of development.

"Call of Duty: WWII" will reportedly be released together will all other versions. Switch users who pre-order the game will also have the same bonus access similar to other platform users. Currently, the private beta access is the only thing that has been announced.

Rumors are still rumors and there is still no official confirmation regarding the game being released on the Switch platform. However, given the pieces of evidence supporting the rumors, it seems that "Call of Duty: WWII" will indeed have a Nintendo Switch version.
