Fans of the highly successful first-person shooter "Destiny" need not worry about a delayed release of the highly anticipated "House of Wolves" DLC as game developer Bungie is confident that the patch problems will not affect the expansion pack's arrival.
Bungie's community manager DeeJ posted an update on the game studio's forum early this week, admitting that the activation of patch 1.2.0 might be delayed due to the technical problems discovered by the developers after it was released last week. According to DeeJ, the discovered technical problem in the latest patch update might have an impact on the gaming experience of most players, which was why they decided to hold back on its activation while they work on the said issue.
This news prompted players to speculate on the possibility of a release setback for the second downloadable content for the game. There's no need to worry though, as the current update from the community manager offered good news for gamers. Patch 1.2.0 is expected to go live Friday, and the company is confident that they'll be able to work things out.
According to a statement posted on the official Bungie website, "We're in the final phases of testing and approval for the first update. Confidence is high. As soon as we're ready, we'll let you know. Currently, all signs point to tomorrow (Friday) morning (Bungie time). It will be a game-time decision, so stay tuned. Patch Notes will immediately follow, and all of your questions about the world changes to come will be answered."
Bungie also released the official trailer for the "House of Wolves" expansion pack just a few days before its scheduled release next week. The trailer offers a glimpse of the contents of the upcoming DLC for "Destiny," including the new Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders mode, the latest multiplayer maps, as well as other added features.
"Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves" is expected to be released on Tuesday, May 19.
