Boxing rumors: Adrien Broner open to fight stablemate Danny Garcia if the price is right

The last time we heard of Adrien Broner was that he was being considered as a possible opponent for the retiring Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.

Nothing really came out from that and now, he is back in the limelight and is reportedly interested in stablemate Danny Garcia's World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight title.

Broner and Garcia are advised by Al Haymon, but it seems that the fight can happen if only the TV networks are willing to pay the right price for that match to happen.

The four-time division champion believes that this is a fight folks would want to see, although it can only materialize if TV networks such as Showtime, CBS, CBS Sports, ESPN, Spike TV, Fox, Fox Sports, NBC, NBC Sports, and Bounce TV are will offer them proper pay.

On the claim that this would be a fight fans would want to see, such could be up for debate.

As mentioned on a post from Boxing News 24, both Broner and Garcia are seen as paper champions. Garcia's stock isn't exactly at a high and is believed to be on the decline.

Broner, on the other hand, is getting there, although it would also depend on the opponents he opts to face. He last fought Khabib Allakhverdiev which he won via 12 round knockout to win the vacate World Boxing Association (WBA) light welterweight title, but many felt he chose someone who was out of shape.

At the time, Allakhverdiev hadn't fought for over a year and was coming from a loss to Jessie Vargas.

Given the timeline of events for both fighters, the chances of seeing that fight happen aren't looking good. TV networks are unlikely to support the payday rant, no matter how many times Broner brings it up on social media.

Maybe Broner can set his sights on someone else or fight someone first and then make an impression?
