Boston Celtics rumors: Avery Bradley is untouchable- says Ainge

The Boston Celtics have been dealing out most of their stars through trades but it seems that there is someone that they are not keen on letting go – Avery Bradley.

With the likes of Rajon Rondo and Jeff Green already shipped out, it seems that Celtics president Danny Ainge is not keen on giving up Bradley despite numerous trade offers involving low first round picks and players with expiring contracts at the NBA trade deadline.

Despite his size, the 24-year-old guard may be part of the Celtics plans for the future. Bradley is a great defender and possesses great athleticism, making him a valuable part of the Boston Celtics future master plan.

And in what should be an exclamation point for teams interested in acquiring the Celtic guard, Boston is expected to re-sign Bradley to a lucrative four-year deal worth an estimated $32 million in the Summer. With that said, any team planning to pry Bradley from the Celtics may as well look elsewhere for a guard with at least the same caliber as that of Bradley's.

At the moment, the Celtics (34-41) are teetering on the 9th spot but are just half a game behind the Brooklyn Nets (34-40). The Celtics still have a shot of getting into the playoffs but they are expected to fall as early as the first round if ever they do bump off the Nets. The number 8 team (whether it be the Nets or the Celtics) are up for a tough time ahead as they have to deal with a streaking Atlanta Hawks quintet.

Going back to the case of Bradley, he may not necessarily be the main guy or franchise player the Celtics are looking up to. But at 24 and with potentially a 4-year stay in Beantown imminent, Bradley should very well blossom into a veteran guard, much like how Danny Ainge did it during his playing days of old.
