The Jeffersonian team will investigate the grisly case of a renowned U.S. politician who was found dead by a street sweeper in the upcoming episode of the long-running Fox series "Bones."

In "The Senator in the Street Sweeper," Cartermatt reports that the tattered remains of the dead senator was discovered by two sanitation workers. The trail will lead Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Booth (David Boreanaz) and the rest of the gang to Capitol Hills, where they will encounter several suspects for the gruesome murder. To track down the killer, they will need the cooperation of the other senators, as well as the victim's staff members.

The synopsis reveals that the team will question majority floor leader Hayley Winters (guest star Brenda Strong) to get information on who can possibly be holding a grudge against the senator to want to kill him. His chief of staff Eric Morales (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez) will also be interrogated on potential suspects angry enough to mutilate the victim's body. Is this political murder concealing something more sinister in the hallowed walls of the Senate?

Meanwhile, FBI Special Agent James Aubrey's (John Boyd) relationship with intern Jessica (guest star Laura Spencer) is progressing really well. He is starting to think that perhaps, they can proceed to the next level. But before he allows himself to be drawn deeper, Aubrey will reportedly use his skills to probe into her past. He wants to make sure that nothing will get in between him and his dream to become a politician. Will his investigation go well?

Last episode was Halloween and the Jeffersonian played host to two agents from the quiet town of Sleepy Hollow. Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) were tracking a 200-year old headless corpse when the trail led them to Brennan and her team. They were investigating the murder of a medical student whose body were found in an abandoned church. Close to the victim's body, they were surprised to find another corpse that looked like a patriot from the American Revolution.

As it turned out, the student was studying the dead soldier's head, which she believed could bring the dead back to life. Abbie and Ichabod must then work together with the other team to enlighten them about the cadaver. When their investigation led them to the doorstep of the victim's boyfriend, they found out that it was he who killed her by bashing her head with the skull. Once the case was settled, the Sleepy Hollow agents were allowed to bring the corpse back with them.

"Bones" season 11 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
