The midseason premiere of the long-running FOX drama will kick-start with Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) taking a new case involving the gruesome death of a public defender.
According to TV Guide, the Jeffersonian will be tapped to hunt down the lawyer's killer. This will be no easy task, as the deceased had quite a bunch of people whom he sent behind bars. There will be no shortage of suspects in this case; such is why the dynamic duo will have to sift through the evidence very carefully to determine his killer. In the past, the victim had received several death threats. It will be a matter of choosing which one was made into reality.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will also see how Hodgins (TJ Thyne) is dealing with his rehabilitation. During the midseason finale, he hurt his back in an explosion and he became paralyzed from the waist down. Spoilers report that the road to recovery will not be easy on both Hodgins and his wife Angela (Michaela Conlin). Never in his wildest dreams did he envision spending the rest of his life bound in a wheelchair.
In a recent interview, Thyne talked about how his character would be coping with his condition. He shared that it would take a while for Hodgins to accept what happened to him. The actor assured the fans, however, that once the specialist has made peace with his paralysis, he would be back to his "fun" self. He just did not know how long Hodgins' depression would be.
"I think Episode 11 is almost like a false sense of acceptance because he believes, 'Well, this is temporary.' Starting with Episode 12 and beyond is when he really, suddenly starts going through the stages of depression, and anger, and frustration. What starts happening is he's literally pushing everyone away, and it's pretty hard for the team, because someone they love is really angry and aggressively pushing them away," Thyne said.
"Bones" season 11 episode 12 will air on Thursday, April 14 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
