Bobbi Kristina latest update, news: Bobby Brown, Pat Houston named as co-guardians

While Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston, who was found unresponsive in her bathtub back in January, remains at her hospital bed fighting for her life, her new guardians have already been named.

"We are delighted to inform the public that the court has appointed Bobby Brown [father] and Pat Houston [aunt] as co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown," reads a statement from Christopher Brown and David Long-Daniels, Pat and Cissy [grandmother] Houston's and Bobby Brown's respective attorneys. "Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi's care and medical needs."

Lawyer Bedelia Hargrove will serve as Bobbi Kristina's conservator, who will take care of "assets, including her likeness, rights and legal claims."

This means that in the event of Bobbi Kristina's death, Cissy, Pat, and Bobbi Kristina's uncle Gary Houston will get her estate (handed down by her mother Whitney) as stated in her will. This means that Bobby "will have no financial power" as his petition to become his daughter's conservator has been unsuccessful.

Bobbi Kristina was initially placed in a medically induced coma at the Emory Universal Hospital in Atlanta but was later transferred to DeKalb Medical facility, also in Atlanta, to monitor her condition. Last month, Bobby revealed that his daughter is "awake." His lawyer and wife then said that Bobbi Kristina's condition is improving. However, Cissy had bad news to break.

"I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital, and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma, she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive," Cissy said in the statement acquired by The News. "Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me."
