Black Friday 2015: Amazon to have over 150 'Lightning Deals'

Days before Black Friday officially starts, retail giant Amazon joins the bandwagon of starting early for this year's Black Friday sale event.

Amazon will start its online Black Friday Sale this coming Friday, Nov. 20, and will end on the 28th. Part of the promotions for this year is another Prime Day event, much like what the online retailer offered last July, where fans of the website and deals shoppers can get new promotions and discounts on items every five minutes.

As part of the continuous promotions for Amazon until the Christmas holidays, there will be at least 150 "Lightning Deals" that will become available, exclusive only to users of the Amazon app. The promotions will only be timed exclusives, and app users must watch out between 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. PST on Thanksgiving up to Dec. 9 to check out items under "Lightning Deals."

For the premium Amazon Prime service, aside from the promotions and deals, Amazon will also add another service. Amazon Prime members in at least 20 select metro locations can avail of a two-hour delivery option to get their purchased items earlier than other shoppers. This feature is available only in selected locations and on selected items and will become available for the duration of the Black Friday sale and will continue up to the holiday season next month.

Although Amazon is keeping their entire lineup for the Black Friday sale a surprise, there already are leaks on what deals shoppers can expect. As with any Black Friday sale event, the upcoming deals and promotion from the online retailer will be heavy on consumer electronics, both for home and personal use. In addition, gamers will also have a chance to score some heavily discounted title merchandise and gaming bundles.
