Better Call Saul Season 3 spoilers: Bryan Cranston, Giancarlo Esposito to return to series

It looks like Better Call Saul might be featuring a reunion of sorts as the possibility of Bryan Cranston returning to the show remains a possibility.

For its third season, Cranston himself confirmed that because of his strong ties with series creator Vince Gilligan, he is open to the idea of either reprising his role as Breaking Bad's Walter White or pull his weight behind the cameras.

However, being a fan of the show is the only reason he is strongly thinking about accepting a stint to direct an episode of the spinoff show.

"I have an opportunity to direct an episode of Sauland I'm debating whether I want to or not because I'm a fan of the show, and in order to direct I need to know what no fan knows. I need to go back and they'll tell me what's going to happen leading up to the episode and there's a part of me that says, 'That would kind of kill it for me as a fan to peek behind the curtain.' So, I don't know if I am or not," he said.

Another possible reappearance of a character from the original series is Giancarlo Esposito's Gus Fring, one of the main antagonists in the show.

It can be recalled Fring's entry into the series was implied in the last part of Season 2 but gauging by the character's cautiousness, creator Vince Gilligan said that fans should not expect him to appear immediately at the start of the season.

"Just because Fring's back - technically speaking, if not literally - it doesn't mean that folks should assume that they'll see him at the beginning of Season 3," Gillian said in a Vanity Fair interview.

"I don't think anyone should assume that he'll move in next door to Mike and borrow a cup of sugar. He's going to stay Gus Fring, arguably the most brilliant person ever to appear on either show," he added.
