Building up the hype for the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" film, a mix of spoilers and fan-made predictions proliferate online.

In the latest rounds off the rumor mill, an enterprising website hazarded a guess that contrary to what has been officially claimed, Ben Affleck will not be the Dark Knight in the upcoming film. In a report by Melty, it was rumored that Affleck's role will be that of Deathstroke, a character played by Scott Eastwood in another upcoming DC film, "Suicide Squad." Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke also assumed the mantle of the Caped Crusader numerous times in the DC universe (at least in the comics).

Meanwhile, the website also predicted that DC and Warner Bros. are cooking up a surprise plot twist to the film – Batman will be reprised by Christian Bale, who could only appear in the upcoming "Batman v Superman" movie as sort of a mentor to Deathstroke.

There are no official details yet available for the upcoming film other than its March 25, 2016 release date. Meanwhile, aside from Affleck, other stars in the film include Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

Meanwhile, Australia Network News said that another rumor circulating online is that in the upcoming expansion of the DC movie universe, there will be an upcoming solo "Batman" film. Staying true to what happened in the comics, the film adaptation will use the timeline in the "A Death in the Family" and "Under the Hood" stories, and the upcoming film will feature the Dark Knight, The Joker, and in a suprising twist, Robin as another villain.

According to the report, the storylines involve Robin's Jason Todd persona twisting into the villain Red Hood, and what he'll do is to frame the Bats, and ultimately drive Batman and The Joker into a showdown.
