Barcelona Neymar transfer rumors 2016: Brazilian captain content at Nou Camp

Neymar is a rising star and FC Barcelona is pretty much lucky to have him; but will it be for long?

The Brazilian captain's name has been in the rumor mill lately, mostly linking him to the rival teams of Barcelona. The list includes Real Madrid and Manchester United, a team that allegedly offered him a whopping £140 million in an effort to pry him away from Camp Nou.

That revelation came no less from Neymar Sr. which should clear the air on possible denials from Man. Utd. But truthfully, hearing of such is not really surprising.

Moving forward, Neymar has yet to re-sign with Barcelona, although such is not a cause for alarm. Club director Robert Fernandez is pretty confident that the 24-year-old striker will stay and has in fact no reason to seek tenure elsewhere.

Also, all rumored talk about Neymar talking to other teams is seen as something else. It is not about actually leaving but getting leverage to up his value with contract talks on the mend. After playing a key role for Barcelona last year, the only reason would be personal gain for the Brazilian.

But the way Neymar has been talking around, there is no indication that such is important to him. He is fine playing alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, a trio of stars who should keep Barcelona up there for a long time.

Despite all that, transfer talks linked to Neymar are not expected to die down. His current team is confident he is there to stay and the same goes for Neymar and his father who are pretty content at Camp Nou.

Right now, Neymar and Suarez are tasked to temporarily step up in light of Messi's minor kidney issues. With the 2015 Ballon d'Or taking a breather, both stars are expected to fill in the void until Messi is up and about to join the explosive forward duo.
