Will The Avengers: Infinity War, herald the departure of two fan favorite characters, The Hulk and Iron Man?

According to a report by CNN, that there is a strong possibility if the Marvel Cinematic Universe will follow the storyline of Civil War II.

In the comic book, Hulk is expected to give Hawkeye a special arrow to take him down in case he joins the rampage.

In the aftermath of the battle, Hulk returns to his Bruce Banner persona and realizes the carnage he has caused and felt guilty about it no matter how Tony Stark tried to make him understand that Bruce was not responsible for the destruction.

In the end, Hawkeye does take him down when he hits the green giant squarely in the eye so it is unsure if this development will affect the Avengers movie.

Meanwhile, while talks are rife that Robert Downey Jr. may be replaced as Iron Man in future installments of the franchise, pundits may be mistaken in looking at a younger actor to take on the role.

There is a possibility that Tony Stark may be replaced not by a younger character but a female character, if the trajectory of the comic books will serve as a basis, reported Parent Herald.

If the next Avengers movie adopts this storyline, then it may be possible that actress RiRi Williams will take on the role of Iron Man, or in this case, Iron Woman. As for Tony's exit, it has been reported that his appearance in the Spider-man reboot will see his end after he is killed while serving as a mentor to Tom Holland's Spider-man.

There is also speculation that Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch may go dark in Infinity Wars given the injustice she suffered in Civil War, and the sense of alienation that she felt in the wake of her brother's death, Crossmap reported.

Adding fuel to this speculation is that sheer number of characters who will appear in the movie, which hints that not everyone will be fighting on the side of good.

The first installment of Avengers:Infinity Wars is set for release on May 4, 2018.
