The time has come for Oliver (Stephen Amell) to tell Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) that he has a son with former lover Samantha (Anna Hopkins) in the upcoming episode of The CW series "Arrow."

In "Code of Silence," CarterMatt reports that the green vigilante is starting to consider whether the timing is right to admit the secret he has been keeping ever since he battled with Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). During the crossover with "The Flash," Oliver and Barry (Grant Gustin) took a brief jaunt in the past to change the events, enough to defeat the villain. In the process, they learned that Oliver was already a father. Barry told him that it would be best to tell Felicity the truth, before she learns about it from a third party. Oliver, however, chose to be quiet, as he did not know how Felicity would react.

The upcoming episode will see Oliver feeling guilty about the whole thing. Felicity has endured a lot ever since the attack instigated by Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) left her paralyzed from the waist down. Although she is successfully coping up with the changes in her life, Felicity is still hurting and the news about Oliver's son may just depress her. Will Oliver finally tell her the truth or will he wait a little longer until Felicity is completely healed? After all, Team Arrow is gearing for a major battle with HIVE. Perhaps, the green vigilante will think that Star City is more important than his personal life.

Back in December, executive producer Wendy Mericle told Entertainment Weekly that Oliver's confession would happen in the middle of the season. As much as Oliver wanted to put a lid on the issue, she said that secrets have a habit of coming out on their own. Felicity would eventually learn the truth and it would result to some "serious consequences." Does this mean the couple will break up?

"We're really excited about how that's going to change things and it's really going to raise the stakes and throw some wrenches into the works of their relationship, which so far this season it's been pretty smooth sailing. True to form, we're really going to mine that. There will be some fallout for both of them," the executive producer shared.

"Arrow" season 4 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
