'Arrow' season 4 spoilers: Oliver wants Damien Darhk's head on a platter in episode 10

Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is out to get revenge on Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) for putting Felicity Smoak's (Emily Bett Rickards) life in danger in the upcoming season 4 midseason premiere of The CW series "Arrow."

In "Blood Debts," the sneak peek shows the Green Arrow overwhelmed with sadness as he follows his girlfriend's gurney to the hospital. During the midseason finale, Darhk ambushed Oliver and Felicity's limo as the pair were on their way home from the holiday party. They all thought the villain was dead, as they saw him explode during the previous fight. It turned out Darhk was able to utter a spell right before he was about to blow up, thereby, saving his life.

Darhk was furious with the mayoral candidate for exposing him and H.I.V.E for what they truly were. Oliver wanted to clear up the bay area as part of his campaign to eradicate the city of all the mess. When the volunteers were about to clean the place, Darhk sent an armed drone to attack the crowd. Luckily, no one was hurt, but Oliver was pissed with what happened. He went to the press and told the entire Star City about Darhk and his minion's true identity.

Darhk retaliated by capturing Thea Queen (Willa Holland), John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity and held them hostage. Oliver was able to free them with the help of Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Black Canary (Katie Cassidy). That was the time they all thought Darhk was dead, as in the battle, the villain was in the thick of things during the blast. Oliver and the rest of the gang thought it safe to conduct another celebratory party. He and Felicity even got engaged.

During the drive back home, their limo was open fired upon by Darhk's men. Oliver was able to drive away from the melee unscathed. But when he looked at Felicity, she was not moving. The episode ended with a cliffhanger, when the emotional scene was cut right when Oliver was checking if Felicity still has a pulse. Could she be the one in the grave that Oliver is kneeling upon in the promo?

For the upcoming episode, Oliver has made up his mind to go after Darhk. He acknowledges that what happened to his girlfriend is not his fault. He means to kill Darhk, saying it is his responsibility to end the fight between them.

"Arrow" will return on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
