Previously, a document leaked online about how and when tech giant Samsung plans to initiate its Android 6.0 roll out to its flagship lineups. In the roadmap, it was noted that the newest iteration of the Galaxy Note, the Note 5, will have its Android Marshmallow update next month.
It seems that the leaked roadmap is accurate, as supported by another leak online – this time, a hands-on review of the user interface on the Galaxy Note 5 already running on Android Marshmallow.
In a post on the community site XDA Developers, member Mario Tomas Serrafero is said to have done a hands-on review of how TouchWiz works on a Galaxy Note 5 already updated to Android Marshmallow. In a series of images in the post, users and fans got a glimpse of how the new Android platform looks on a Samsung device.
According to Serrafero, one of the features that he found surprising, and will be pleasing to users, is that the new Android Marshmallow update has not brought with it memory management issues, unlike the previous versions of Android. Meanwhile, in terms of the TouchWiz itself, there is a combination of cosmetic changes and interaction revamps in terms of how the Galaxy Note 5 looks, feels, and navigates.
TouchWiz is a full-touch user interface developed by Samsung for its own lineups. Although the different devices under the South Korea-based company use Android as their platform, Samsung devises its own ROM integrated with the TouchWiz. This practice has been the main cause of delay for Samsung (and other tech manufacturers) in releasing the newest version of the Android environment
