Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for HTC One M9 releasing soon?

 HTC website

Fans of the Taiwan-based HTC were delighted when news broke that the company has already rolled out the new Android 6.0 update for the Google Play Edition of the One M8. Since the One M8 is a previous version of HTC's M-series lineup, will fans see the new Marshmallow environment on the current flagship, the One M9, sooner than they expected?

According to industry follower NeuroGadget, since HTC has started its Android Marshmallow update with the One M8 GPE, it may be expected that the next recent iteration will follow, which is the One M9. However, it is unclear if the company will be pushing for a simultaneous update or it will have a lateral one. If the update to Android M becomes per model, the next in line would be the global version of the One M8, with One M9 and One M9+ to immediately follow.

Although the website has no current details on the specific release dates for the new Android version update, it did suppose that the One M9 will make its jump to the Android 6.0 environment before the year ends.

Aside from South Korea-based LG Electronics, HTC has been one of the earliest tech manufacturers to promise an early adaptation to Android 6.0. Earlier this year, the Taiwan-based company laid out an October release window for the first updates to roll out to its devices, especially the current ones. However, the company did not meet the timeframe due to delays in development.

HTC however, redeemed itself by being the first tech manufacturer outside of the Google Nexus lineup to get the new Android version as a native platform for its new releases. When HTC released the One A9 last month, fans and observers were surprised. The One A9 came with Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.
