Rumors that the sixth season of "American Horror Story" will center on the Slender Man are not true, according to an exclusive source of Entertainment Weekly.

Just recently, news that the Slender Man in his black suit will soon be terrorizing the viewers have been making rounds in the Internet. According to US Magazine, an insider claimed that the season 6 plot would be revolving around the creature stalking children. The creative team of "American Horror Story" reportedly took notice of the script and wanted to adapt it to make it suitable to the theme of the series. After buying the rights, the next step would purportedly be to look for possible casts.

Slender Man or Slenderman is a mystical character born from an Internet meme created on the Something Awful forums in 2009. It resembles a tall, thin man with a creepy blank face. In recent years, it has been used in different media as a silent stalker of its victims. According to the legend, Slender Man has complete control of its arms, extending or shortening them at will. Jutting out on its back are tentacle-like limbs.

Over the years, the creature has gained a bunch of nicknames including Mr. Slim, Daddy Long Legs, and Slendy, among others. Slender Man is depicted as having the power to induce loss of memory, lack of sleep, paranoia, and "slendersickness" or paroxysmal coughing. It can also do teleportation and if it wants, distort photos and videos.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the executive producers of the successful series are still holding off the announcement of plot until March. While the storyline for the upcoming installment has already been finalized, Eric Knudsen's supernatural character is reportedly not included in it. So far, the showrunners have remained mum on what to expect for "American Horror Story" season 6. Fans will not have to wait for long, however, as it is expected to air sometime this year.
