Acer is currently holding the "Thinnest Laptop" badge for its Swift 7 Ultrabook. It offers a 13.3-inch display and is powered by the latest Kaby Lake processor.

The Acer Swift 7's main selling point is its slenderness that offers a unique look. It is merely 9.98 mm thick and is considered lightweight too, tipping the scale at 2 pounds, 8 ounces. Its matte black aluminum exterior and gold inner portion, rounded corners, and chamfered edges of its vast touchpad provide additional character to its premium appearance.

The latest device is powered by the brand new seventh generation Kaby Lake Intel Core i5-7Y54 processor. Its stock clock speed is 1.2 GHz, and its boost speed is at 3.2 GHz. The current model equates to the previous Core M (Broadwell) and Core m (Skylake) series. It is then paired with an 8 GB LPDDR3 RAM running at 1866 MHz and 256 GB Kingston SATA SSD.

Its display is a non-touch IPS screen that has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) and is protected by a Gorilla Glass 4 panel. It provides color accurate and high-contrast images that are a feast for the eyes. However, PC World added that it is a glossy piece of screen, so glares are expected to be produced at all times.

The Acer Swift 7 also contains a Chicklet-style keyboard, a battery that can last up to 9 hours, and an internet connection speed capable of 3X fast with its 2x2 8022.11 ac with MU-MIMO technology. It also features an immersive audio quality brought by the Dolby Audio Premium and Acer True Harmony technologies.

It also contains two USB 3.1 Type C ports with one supporting DisplayPort over USB-C. It runs on Windows 10 Home and also comes with a headphone jack. Acer provides two dongles included in the box, one for USB-C to USB-A and one USB-C to Ethernet.

The latest Acer Swift 7 is now available for $1,099.99.
