The all-new 2016 Chevy Camaro has yet to hit the auto market this year, but auto maker General Motors is making sure that when the sixth-gen Camaro rolls out off showrooms, it will come prepared with different parts and accessories to fit both casual car enthusiasts and hardcore custom and performance-driven car drivers.
According to an announcement by Chevrolet, the different accessories and enhancement parts range from a complete performance air intake and exhaust system, down to ground-effect packages like custom spoilers and lowering kits.
Speaking about the wide range of both performance and cosmetic enhancements that owners can expereience with their 2016 Chevy Camaro, Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of performance vehicles and motorsports said, "These accessories and parts were designed, engineered and tested by our Camaro team, assuring proper fit and integration - and they are backed by Chevrolet."
The highlight of the add-on packages is the performance-enhancing car parts, including performance exhausts, suspension lowering kits, performance air intake, and engine covers. The performance-improvement package also includes two Brembo performance front brake packages, coming in at four-piston and six-piston caliper variants.
The six-piston caliper version is intended as a general improvement over the stock front brakes, available for all new Camaro models. Meanwhile, the specialized four-piston front brake variant is made as upgrade parts for Camaro LT models and will best suit the new Camaros with 2.0- and 3.6L V6 engines.
Those who are looking to fancy up their new Camaros will also have some selections to choose from, including interior trim kits in multiple colors. For the base, there would be three available aluminum wheel designs in a variety of finishes, as well as new, chrome-appearance or paint-customizable grille kits; plus a blade-style rear spoiler and ground-effects kit in 10 colors.
To keep up with a cosmetic look, General Motors will also be offering four exterior graphics packages for the new Camaro.
