York Minster is holding an art auction to raise money for restoration work on the building.

The pieces up for sale are inspired by the cathedral and are the works of 15 of the region's most talented artists, including Jake Attree, as well as worshippers and members of staff.

The works of art will be displayed to members of the public from 27 May before the auction takes place on 7 June.

The money raised will go to the York Minster Fund, which covers the cost of preserving the historic building.

The auction starts at 7:30pm and tickets cost £5, which includes viewing the exhibition. Find out more on York Minster's website
