Xiaomi's Mi Note 2 is now rumored to arrive next month after being a no-show at the company's launch event last September. It is also speculated to have two variants: the standard version and the pro version.

The standard Mi Note 2 will reportedly carry either a 4-GB or 6-GB RAM with 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB options for storage capacity. The pro version will reportedly carry a bigger RAM, 6 GB or 8 GB, and similar internal storage options as the standard edition.

Both models were also speculated to be carrying a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, and they will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821. The main camera is rumored to be a 12-MP one that will feature an f/2.0 aperture and OIS. It is said to be equipped with a Sony IMX 295 image sensor.

The home button is said to be embedded with an ultrasonic fingerprint security sensor which is similar to the on used on the Mi 5S. Its battery capacity was said to be around 3,700 mAh. Additionally, the device is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat topped with Xiaomi's own user interface, the MIUI 8 6.9.8.

GSMArena reported that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could also have a 5.7-inch screen with 2K display resolution, but it is also further believed to be offered only at QHD. It could also have a dual curved screen, a 13-MP main, and an 8-MP secondary camera. A USB Type-C port at the bottom and a headphone jack at the top are said to come along with the alleged device.

Xiaomi fans are expecting the device to be priced at around $375, for the standard model, and relatively higher for the Pro version. Both versions are assumed to arrive in the U.S. shores.

Multiple release dates for the device have been suggested by speculations in the past. However, Xiaomi has been mum about the details of alleged Mi Note 2 and Mi Note 2 Pro devices.
