Is Xiaomi on the verge of unveiling new handsets before 2015 comes to a close? Apparently, word has it that the Chinese company plans to unveil a couple of more smartphones by November.
There are reportedly two devices that could make its way into the open — the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and the Xiaomi Mi 5.
The Mi Note 2 could be unraveled by Nov. 5, carrying specs that include a 5.7-inch QHD display and 4 GB of RAM. It will reportedly offer just 32 GB of fixed internal storage.
The other device that could come out is the Xiaomi Mi 5. As far as the device is concerned, it may come out with a 5.3-inch display, run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage, although a 64 GB version may reportedly be available.
It may, however, not have provisions for expandable memory, meaning there won't be microSD support for it.
Additionally, it may come armed with a 16-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. It will bank on a 3,030 mAh battery to provide the needed power for the device.
As far as other features are concerned, it seems that the Xiaomi Mi5 may also come with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, something that Qualcomm introduced last year — Qualcomm Snapdragon Sense ID fingerprint scanner technology.
While the launch of these two devices remains to be seen, there is, of course, that lingering question on how these devices will be made available and in which regions.
Xiaomi has been known to offer their devices to select regions and the hardship of getting one has become a problem for most.
Then again and despite those constraints, folks may complain at first but eventually continue to look for them. Such is expected to be the trend for the Xiaomi Mi 5 or even the Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
